Evaluation Workshop: A Data Driven Nonprofit: Tools for Strategy Development and Outcome Management
The workshop will provide participants with cutting edge tools and resources for gathering data and ready-to-use strategies for communicating needs and outcomes.
The first half will cover the use of common indicators identified for 14 areas of social impact by the Urban Institute. Participants will learn how to use the common indicators to develop realistic and effective approaches to defining and measuring outcomes. The second half of the workshop will introduce participants to data visualization and reporting tools that can be used to support grant writing and community-level assessment. The presentation will include a demonstration of the maps and data resources available through Community Commons and a discussion on the use of data to strengthen grant proposals (including the Missouri Common Grant Application).
